So I Caved In...

Much to the delight of steerpike , and to the disgust of, I'm sure, pretty much everyone else, I caved in and got The Sims 3. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. But recent events made me want to make a self sim with a more realistic bodyshape for once without having to download anything.


The base game does not come with curly hair, which is shocking! Oh well. My self sim is a vegetarian bookworm, who has a good sense of humour, but a hatred of children. She spends most of her time reading:

She wanted to go on a writing skills course, so I took her, she did the course and what does she do when she gets outside?


So I took her down to the bookshop, where she met Agnes Crumplebottom

and this guy. Gunther Goth I think his name was. He appears to be Mortimer's dad anyway:

They got on anyway. Maybe they can have a steamy love affair or something.

So my initial thoughts:
- like the graphics
- like the character traits and stuff
- I am appalled at the lack of curly hair (*shakes fist*)
- the bodyshape slider is the single greatest invention in Sim history
- the bit where other houses carry on and live their lives without your intervention? Not so keen on that idea.

So, what should I download? Thoughts and suggestions please!

Yeah I caved in as well and got the latest EP and to my surprise I've been having quite a bit of fun with it :P

You have some lovely graphics there. Have no shame in sims 3! I might not want it (Sims Medieval is enough for me, personally), but I like seeing other people's pictures of it. I think there is a mod that changes just how much can go on in the background, but not having the game myself, I wouldn't know where (or if I totally imagined this).

There is indeed a mod that stops all the background nonsense. Thank god for Pes!
