Laptop is fixed, fully working and the nice man at PC World even reinstalled iTunes for me, which is nice because I was dreading doing that even though I know that my computer was broken long before I thought of installing iTunes 10. I've redownloaded Firefox and I'm in the process of redownloading Windows Live Messenger, so at least I have my priorities straight, and after that I'm going to copy over all my stuff that I saved onto my external harddrive which is probably full to bursting right now.

My screen looks brighter too. I mentioned this to my mum who took one look at it and said 'yes, I think they may have cleaned it'. Hah, oops.

Ok, so the fact that I couldn't install the new iTunes may be indicative of wider problems with my laptop. Windows Update hasn't worked for a while and the Apple Support pages for my iTunes problem are full of fixes for Windows Update. But they don't work. I'm getting a wealth of error messages, and my virus protection won't run either. Thinking about it, I don't think that has for a while, but it's not something I really noticed at the time. So it's off to the magical tech people for the laptop, which means I won't be around for as long as it takes to fix it. I can use the computer downstairs, but internet sessions will last as long as it takes for my mum to go 'what are you doing on there?'. So here's hoping it can be fixed and they can do it quickly.

What annoys me the most is that I'm missing last night's Britney episode of Glee. Argh. Plus I'm sure there are better ways of culling my sims downloads.
