fainielLet's imagine I was thinking of getting a Sims 3 expansion pack. Actually, let's stop imagining, I am thinking of getting a Sims 3 expansion pack, I just don't know which. I was thinking Ambitions because I would very much like to get my hands on the Investigator career track for, uhm, reasons that I have, but I can afford two right at this moment, so which other one would be a good idea to get? I quite like the look of Generations, but then I also like the look of Late Night. World Adventures is a bit 'meh' from where I'm sat because I never really played the vacation 'hoods in TS1 or 2.
I bit the bullet and downloaded TSRW and whilst I hate the idea of them making the best tool for TS3 object creation, I quite like the idea of making stuff with it and uploading it to anti-TSR sites. So far I have cracked the basics of putting logos on tshirts:
Though yes, I couldn't work out how to stop it cloning the other shirts as well, though that is now sorted! So as soon as I can think of something cool to put on tshirts I may give making a set a go. I would like to do something other than put logos on tshirts, like make my own clothes, but I was never any good at that in TS1 or 2, so I daresay I won't be much good at it in TS3!
I have also dabbled in simming. So far I am finding it a lot harder than with TS2. At the moment I am trying to sim Dirk Gently, as portrayed in the BBC4 drama starring Stephen Mangan (the man in my header that Anyerfillag hates for no good reason). So far I have got this:
Which looks nothing like him to be honest. Or am I overthinking it? Here, have a reference picture:
And yeah, he may be the reason I want the investigator career. So far I have made him a charismatic genius inappropriate moochy slob, which I think fits quite well.
